في هذا الموضوع سوف اتحدث عن مشكلة الوان الشاشة,
In this article, we will talk about the problems that might face your monitor and the possible solutions
for that.
***********************************
Problem: Color disturbance
***********************************
The first thing we should check is that if there is a device that generates magnetic/electric field beside the monitor like a speaker or Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS). These factors affects the colors. Why? In the CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) screens, the electron gun emmits electrons that hit phosphors dots called pixels and when an electron hits a phosphorous atom, it emits a photon so it illuminates. Simply, magnetic/electic fields deviate the direction of these electrons so this his an unappropriate pixel, therefore color will be disturbed (Interference between the external magnetic/electric field and the field created in the coil found around the tube will occur).
If a magnet is placed infront of the screen, only a specific region will be affected and spectrum color will appear (not a monochromatic view)
If a UPS is placed beside the screen, thhis may cause color disturbance (weak propability) if the field was strong and the screen will start to flicker (Vibrate)
Second. we should check whether the VGA (Video Graphics Array) port and/or cable is affected. If it was, propably, the concentration of a certain color will be high. For example, the "blue" color may dominate above all the other colors (monochromatic view). This is due to an wrong connection between the VGA card and the monitor. I will explain why that happens.
I think you all know that there are 3 primary colors, Red, Green, and Blue (Known as RGB). Each color has an intensity between 0 and 255. Combination between these colors create numberous amount of colors (RGBs). (ex. a certain color is formed by the combination between Red 47 and Green 6 and Blue 125). In the VGA port, there are 15 pins, there are pins for the RGB. If one of these pins are not working, the color that corresponds to it will not function so the entire number of combinations related to that color will not work. This results in the dominance of some other working colors. So check the status of the VGA cable/port
Third, the problem could be due to a malfunction in the VGA card. Remove the card and clean its copper connectors by using a special solvents. Remove the dust from the heatsink of the GPU (Graphics Processing Unit). Maybe the VGA port of the card is dirly, use a pin to clean the connectors
Fourth, the problem could be due to wrong adjustments of the screen, use the Reset option in the screen to restore it to its initial state.
Fifth, the problem could be due to modifications in certian progams that controls the color like the applications that comes with the VGA card or some programs that comes with some graphics programs
I will present for you some ways to correct the inputs:
First the Gamma. The Gamma is the measure of the contrast and the brightness of the RGB Colors, When you edit them, the hue (color) and the contrast will change, adjust them to better view (Use an option to combine them all in while color so adjustment would be easy)
Second, adjust the type of phosphors of your monitor whether your monitor is HD, NTSC, Trinitron, EBU, ... (Adjusting the phosphoros type on't change anything in the view, trust me!!!)
Third, adjust the brightness of the Gamma (RGB). The Brightness ranges between 1 and 3. Set it to 2.2. If your system is Mac, set it to 1.8
Fourth, adjust the White Point of the monitor, or if we can say it the temperature of the white color of your monitor. This temperature is measured in Kelvens (K). Adjust it to 6500 K, or daylight
Warm White >>>> White toward yellow
Cool White >>>> White toward blue
As temperature increase, the coldness of the white increases increases
Finally, the error maybe due to an internal error inside the monitor, maybe due to dead phosphor pixels (very weak propability) or some electric components is not working well especially transistors that have heatsinks. Try hitting, yes hitting the chasis of the monitor. That worked with my monitor!!!! but do not destroy it!
